After a thorough diagnosis and treatment planning, we will discuss the details of the anesthesia with you. The amount of the investment depends on the duration of the anesthesia. This basis is determined by the German Fee Schedule for Physicians (GOÄ), according to which the anesthesiologist charges for his services.

Some anesthesias are reimbursed, or partially reimbursed, by insurance companies. Here, the decision depends on the age of the patient and the type of treatment. We will also discuss these details with you individually here at the clinic.

How long does a treatment under general anesthesia take?

The duration of the treatment depends entirely on the planned dental treatment. It is important to know that on the day of the general anesthesia, you will come to our medical office without any food or drink. This is important so that your stomach can cope well with the anesthesia.

To make the situation before and after the anesthesia as comfortable as possible for you, please tell us for an accompanying person. We will notify them as soon as the treatment is over and you are fully awake from the anesthesia. If you wish, this person may accompany you when you wake up from the anesthesia.

You should take the day off so that you can recover completely and in peace.

Can every treatment be performed under anesthesia?

Basically yes, but… we want to put you and your health first and keep the stress as low as possible.
Not every treatment requires a general anesthetic. However, if you as a patient wish this, we will gladly comply.

An individual examination and consultation is our top priority.

We will then decide together with you to what extent treatment under general or local anesthesia is right for you.
